RMA Director invited for visit and talks with FIRST Founder Dean Kamen in St. Louis, USA

RMA Director Dr Zhou Changjiu was invited to attend the 2016 FIRST Championship held in St. Louis.

Dean Kamen, FIRST Founder met Dr Zhou Changjiu to discuss potential collaboration with RMA and RoboCup.

FIRST (https://www.firstchampionship.org/) is a global robotics community preparing young people for the future and the world's leading youth-serving nonprofit advancing STEM education.

During 2016 FIRST Championship (https://www.firstinspires.org/about/first-host-20000-students-at-worlds-largest-robotics-competition), more than 20,000 students from around the globe traveled to St. Louis, putting their engineering skills to the test at the annual FIRSTĀ® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Championship, held at various venues throughout the city.

The four-day event came down to a heart-pounding conclusion Saturday night in front of a roaring crowd of more than 40,000 when four teams from Hermosa Beach, California; Tremont, Illinois; Cleveland, Ohio; and Glen Allen, Virginia of the Carver Subdivision won the coveted FIRST Robotics Competition Championship Winning Alliance.
